[UPDATE] White DualShock 3 controllers hit the U.S.

According to Kotaku, white DualShock 3 controllers have begun surfacing in the U.S.
Originally, it was speculated that new controllers wouldn't hit the U.S. until June. However, people have been posting that they have been seeing them already in retail stores. The image below was taken by Kotaku reader "Henry" after picking one up from his local Walmart.
Have any of you spotted the elusive peripheral?

UPDATE: According to SCEA, there are "no plans to release a white DUALSHOCK 3 controller in North America." As for the image sent in to Kotaku, SCEA told us that "the image isn't legitimate."

Wow it looks pretty nice I may get one... I'm always trying to find my controller as my bed sheets/gray, my chairs are black, and my glass tv stand is black tinted glass... My controllers are always in one of those places... having a white one would make it alot easier to see lol.

I got one (had it since dec. 26 for $5 extra) but my sweat (and that of other players) seems to build up around the nooks like some black gunk ("ewwwwwww"). lol.

yes! ive been waiting so long. i was going to buy one from playasia, but it wasnt a good enough deal. ive wanted one of these since i first saw it. looks so nice.

yeah thats what I want a controller that shows every peice of dirt and dust and scuff mark.
I have never understood the white controller.

@14 Black gunk? Maybe you should wash your hands. I've had mine for a year (eBay) never cleaned it, but always clean. As for people that are worried about the 'clashing' of colours, it is not bad at all. If black goes with anything, it is white. They look sick, and aren't really elusive, I bought mine and shipped it for the same amount as you would pay for a black one a retail store.

now that i look at it the pic isn't legitimate the receipt doesn't give any indication of what color the controller is or that it's even a dualshock 3

i like the logitech remotes better they seem to last longer and are more comfortable for my giant hands

White conroller on a black console....seriously? lol ill pass no need to jump out and spend over $50 for a controller that don't even match the console.

i don't see what all the hype is.
i barely look at my controller. white PS3's would be a lot better.
